Photos by Christina Lazar-Schuler

Welcome to filmWERX Studio, the photography and free-lance graphic design site of Christina Lazar-Schuler.

My photographic style is best described as photo-journalistic/candid with a touch of the artsy. I specialize in landscape and casual portrait photography with beautiful Vancouver BC as the backdrop for the people, events and things that I shoot on a daily basis.
I'm there to take it all in, to capture the special moments for the people around me...
I'm the fly on the wall, the observer... watching and waiting for the perfect, and not so perfect...
I'm the one who'll catch you laughing out loud...
The one who'll catch you being introspective...
The one who'll capture the mischievous smile spread across your face...
I'm your chronicler of life events... I'm a photographer.

My blog 'Shooting from the hip' is a capsule collection of current photos and encompasses both landscapes and portraiture. Check it out often for new posts, shoot web-galleries and booking opportunities.

I hope you will take a few moments to have a peek at my Portfolio and if what you see in my portfolio interests you, please visit my 'Photo Investment' section to select a package and contact me about booking a photo session.

In addition to photography services, I also provide freelance graphic and web design services for a variety of companies and groups. To learn more about my free-lance work, please visit my Graphic Design page.

Recently, since the Richmond Olympic Oval [aka: ROO] opened in 2009, I've spent a lot of time shooting the amazing architecture, water and garden features of this state-of-the-art facility. In the coming weeks you're going to see a LOT of the ROO building on tv during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

ROO is the premier and most highly honored venue during the 2010 Games, having received numerous, and very prestigious, awards for both the architecture and the landscape of the venue. Today, I thought I would share a little bit of this very special building that I am proud to say I'll be volunteering in during the Games.  Enjoy!

The following gallery was created in Lightroom 2.6...
